Bellur Krishnamachar Seshamma Smaraka Niddhi Trust • Organized the Eye Camp • 800 villagers from Bellur & neighbouring villages participated in the eye camp. • Nearly 50 doctors assisted in the camp • Inauguration of India’s first mobile Refraction Unit • All school children from Bellur tested • Provided free spectacles to all the villagers diagnosed with refraction errors. • Nearly 200 villagers were given free spectacles Shankar Nethralaya • Provided with technical and medical expertise. • Provided on-line consultation for complicated cases with senior opthalmologists in Chennai and Bangalore through their own satellite dish. • Evaluation of refraction errors, diabetic retinopathy, blood sugar, blood pressure & eye disorders. |
